Who We Are
Local Greenie was created with the goal of providing more information on the ethical practices of local businesses. Do they pay their employees a living wage? Do they have vegetarian or vegan options? Are they locally owned? By offering information on businesses in 4 categories – environment, community, animals/wildlife and people – we give you the opportunity to make an educated choice based on your values. The site started in the Pioneer Valley (our hometown!) and has expanded to New York's Hudson Valley and New York City.
Local Greenie is operated by two University of Massachusetts Amherst graduates and is based in Western Massachusetts. The site is powered by fair trade coffee and hard work!
