Cowls is a national leader in environmental forest management and lumber production and has won numerous national awards for exceptional environmental practices.
People
Cowls' timberland, being actively managed, actively produces oxegyn at optimal levels, and obsorbs CO2 from the environment. Cowls' timberland is open for public recreation so people in the Pioneer Valley not only benefit from cleaner water, air, and sustainable wood products, but they also enjoy enormous recreational opportunities.

Cowls also supports innumerable other local community causes and its owners serve on many local community service boards and committees.
