About Us

Authentic Italian cuisine featuring local and organic ingredients.

Environment

  • We use local products as often as possible on our menu and throughout our restaurant.
  • We offer organic produce and fish when available and will be serving Plainville Farms natural turkey for Thanksgiving.
  • We offer several organic and biodynamic wines. We give our used cooking oil to a local farmer who recycles it into biofuel for his farm equipment and vehicles.
  • We use hand-dryers in our restrooms to eliminate paper towels, CFL lightbulbs, recycle glass and cardboard, and clean and maintain all of our equipment regularly so it runs more efficiently.
  • We use low-VOC paints on the interior walls, and train our employees on energy saving procedures.

People

  • Our staff is carefully selected and then trained to become familiar with our verbal and written policies and procedures including teamwork, professionalism and genuine hospitality toward each other and our guests.
  • We offer incentive contests and reward programs to encourage teamwork and participation.

Community

  • We support as many local charities and fundraisers as we can with an emphasis on events that support Breast Cancer Awareness and programs to help children.

Animals & Wildlife

  • We have created a menu matrix that lists every item on our menu and potential allergens such as gluten, eggs, nuts, shellfish, and honey, as well as special diet requests such as vegan and vegetarian.
  • Our chefs take particular care in preparing menu items using clean utensils and special handling if they are aware of a special request from a customer.

Fruit/vegetable basket is inexpensive and usually mostly organic.

Very nice locally made castile soap. A bit like Dr. Bronner's but not quite as thick.

They have a small but excellent prepared foods section with many macrobiotic and vegan options. The buffalo tofu is the best!
