500 BILLION plastic bags are used worldwide every year. Only 3% get recycled and 100% NEVER goes away. All of Lou’s Upcycles are made from the very unrecyclable plastics that are filling up the planet's landfills. We support sustainable fashion options and a road to a healthier planet. All trashion creations are made from plastic wrappers; plastics that holds food products, gift bags, store packaging, trash bags, pet food bags all the way to the plastic shopping bags that are picked up from local grocery stores. Join us and do what you can, whenever you can!
Environment
- We use 100% recycled paper for tags, signs, letters and tags.
- All packaging materials used to send orders are reused or recycled from other boxes and envelopes.
- 99% of all materials used are upcycled, recycled or reused.
- We are also committed to a three month, no plastic purchasing policy.
Community
- Lou's Upcycles offers workshops and demonstrations to raise awareness about environmental issues, waste management, recycling and creating goods by upcycling.
- Elementary Schools, High Schools and local events have all benefited from our workshops.

Fruit/vegetable basket is inexpensive and usually mostly organic. -
Very nice locally made castile soap. A bit like Dr. Bronner's but not quite as thick.

They have a small but excellent prepared foods section with many macrobiotic and vegan options. The buffalo tofu is the best!
