About Us

On the surface, Worlds Apart is just like any other game store. We've got a full selection of gaming books, board games, card games, and dice. We run numerous events including Magic tournaments, board game nights, and RPGs, most of which are free to attend. What makes Worlds Apart unique is that it is run by the Pioneer Valley Gamer Collective, a non-profit organization whose mission is to use games to make the world a better place. First, they have built Worlds Apart as a space for the use of the gaming community to gather, game, and hang out. Additionally, they will work to do outreach with other organizations to use games to help with everything from non-profit fund raising to education to community development.

Environment

  • Worlds Apart Games strives to support as many local and environmentally careful businesses as it can. For a list of some of the local businesses we support please see our website.

People

  • Worlds Apart Games is a collectively owned and operated store. We are run entirely by volunteers.

Community

  • The goal of the Pioneer Valley Gamer Collective (the non-profit org that operates Worlds Apart) is to provide a safe and happy environment where gamers of all ages and from all walks of life may gather and play games and socialize.

Fruit/vegetable basket is inexpensive and usually mostly organic.

Very nice locally made castile soap. A bit like Dr. Bronner's but not quite as thick.

They have a small but excellent prepared foods section with many macrobiotic and vegan options. The buffalo tofu is the best!
